Getting Creative in the Studio with Fun Backdrops
Updated: Feb 3, 2020

Do you know what I love almost more than taking pictures? Creating fun, themed portrait sessions. I love love LOVE antique shopping, I love prop shopping, and I love creating new scenes for my clients. With the right props and backdrop we can create a totally one of kind session that is like no other. Luckily my sweet 11 year old decided she would pose for me and help a girl out. We photographed 7 backdrops in 4 hours and she changed clothes and hair for each one! Now, that's commitment folks. I wanted to share with you all just how amazing these backdrops look and just a few possibilities of what we can do with them. Sometimes, you don't need a bunch of props. Keep scrolling to see the newest additions to my backdrop collection and start planning your very own custom portrait session!

The Brick Wall backdrop has so many possibilities! This drop is quite large and would be perfect for little boys , little girls, small families, and even senior sessions.

The Amethyst Garden backdrop would be perfect for little girls (and mommy's) who love watercolors in soft purple and pinks. This is a smaller drop and works best for the littles. My 11 year old had to sit down for these images (but she's 5' too LOL).

The Whispering Forest backdrop is one of my FAVS! Any kiddo can get lost in the magic of this beautiful birch forest filled with pink, purple, and teal foliage. This is a smaller drop and would work great for the littles; cake smash sessions or milestone sessions.

The Barn Door backdrop is HUGE and amazing. In this image I have it paired with a dark floor drop to really make it stand out. This drop works great for families, kiddos, and senior sessions.

This Starry Night backdrop is probably my favorite! It's not very big, but as you can see it can be used in so many ways! Now, we are crazy super Harry Potter fans so this backdrop worked perfectly for the vision I had. But, we can add some fluffy clouds or twinkle lights and the whole drop transforms into something super adorable and dreamy. This drop would work best for little kids, toddlers, and babies.

Just Peachy backdrop would be absolutely perfect for cake smashes and little ones. It has a peach, purple, and blue floral frame around the edges that would be perfect for those tiny clients of mine.

And last but not least, if your little one is obsessed with magical castles and princesses (or princes) they will fall in love with the Bubblegum Castle backdrop. It brings them right into a magical fairytale photoshoot they are sure to enjoy. This drop is on the smaller side and would definitely be best suited for the littles.
Now, if you've seen enough and want to book your studio session for your little one(s), this special is only good for sessions booked now until March 19th, 2020! I hope to see you soon!
